Mr. Zimmerman is a partner and has 30 years of experience in the design, development and implementation of specialized information systems and enabling technologies. He possesses a strong IT system design and implementation background including databases, applications, networks, sensors, enabling technology integration and extensive system integration and delivery experience. Mr. Zimmerman is the IDTP Program Manager for IDTP engineering and technology consulting support to the TSA’s TWIC credentialing program which will provide secure smart cards to 850,000 seaport workers in 2007. Mr. Zimmerman provides senior biometric expertise and seasoned program management experience to this large and complex secure credentialing program. Mr. Zimmerman has 18 years of experience in biometric technology and systems consulting and implementation and is a regularly invited speaker at biometric industry conferences in a range of biometric technology and market subjects. His biometric technology experience spans government and private sector implementations for physical and logical security, forensic identification as well as unique and classified implementations. Mr. Zimmerman has twenty years of consulting experience in information and communications systems, with emphasis upon emerging technologies, advanced applications and business process re-engineering to ensure maximum value is obtained from new technology capabilities. Mr. Zimmerman has extensive experience in mobile computing, RFID, advanced sensor networks, command and control systems and development of integrated solutions to address client needs in areas where commercially-available solutions do not exist. His combined systems integration and consulting experience provides our clients with an in-depth perspective and innovative approaches in developing effective solutions to business needs.
